Teddy Head

Is it art or a warm rum spice cake shaped like a teddybear head? Yes and yes. Artist Sekan Ozkaya and Freemans chef Jean Adamson have teamed up to invite patrons to literally consume the exhibit, aptly named “Bring Me the Head of…”. Benefitting Performa, each $10 dish (read: head) will be served at Freemans for lunch from October 29 - November 20.

Smith's

Railroad car dining rooms are usually reserved for burgers and fries, not Hudson Valley Foie Gras with Black Mission Fig Jam and Black Pepper. Owners Cindy Smith (Raoul’s) and Danny Abrams (The Mermaid Inn, The Harrison) bring you Chef Pablo Romero’s (Bouley) seasonal American menu at the new Smith’s. Part restaurant with rich black leather and mirrors, and part bar, it’s got a little bit of something for everyone.
