Legendary Bungalow 8 doorman Armin Amiri opens his new West Village lounge Socialista, and with its multiple openings starting this week and continuing into the weekend, there’s sure to be a perpetual queue at the velvet ropes. Savor your peek on the scene outside and inside of the vintage chic Cuba-themed hotspot-to-be.

Like a Shake Shack of high-end sweetness, Grom’s lines have already begun snaking on the Upper West Side in its debut week. The first U.S. branch of the Italian chain will be hopping this weekend, so if the weather stays warm, prepare yourself.

It’s worth waiting for the Italy-imported freshest, creamiest cup of $5 Gelato ($4.75 small - $6.75 large). The menu is set to change with the seasons, so try current offerings like Ruby Red Grapefruit or Pistachio, or go ahead and indulge with a Hazelnut, Cappuccino or Crema Di Grom (with battifollo biscuits and Ecuadorian chocolate).
