Saucy |
Make It SaucySaucy Opens Thursday, May 3, 2007 The formula is simple: warmer weather makes you crave juicier dishes. Plates of pasta are good. Protein with sauce (hold the carbs)… even better. Yes, sauce is the main attraction at Saucy, the new Upper East Side restaurant opening on Monday. Chef/owner Simon Mann had worked kitchens all over the globe (Italy, Israel, the U.S.) and decided it was time to showcase his appreciation for global spices with an international sauce menu. Choose from 50+ different sauces, including a solid Vodka sauce (Italian), a French Yellow sauce (Dijon Mustard), a Greek sauce (Classic Greek Yogurt), or an Indian sauce (Classic Indian Tandoori), and either an organic chicken pairing (or a beef and/or pasta option) and dinner is served! The theme continues through to appetizers, with juicy salads, soups, and even the interiors (large burlap bags filled with spices hang from the ceiling). If all that’s not enough to whet your appetite, dessert with an Orange Caramel sauce will. |
