British Sangria

“I feel sorry for people who don’t drink. When they wake up in the morning, that’s as good as they’re going to feel all day.” - Frank Sinatra

Summer is the perfect season for sangria.

Sangria is light, it’s refreshing, and it will knock you on your a*s right when you least expect it.

Here’s a recipe for a classic remixed with Pimm’s.

British Sangria
serves 6

2 cups Pimm’s No. 1 (available at finer liquor stores)
2 cups Orangina soda
3 cups Seagram’s ginger ale
2 Granny Smith apples, sliced in to wedges
2 oranges, also sliced in to wedges
1 lemon, squeezed for its juices
2 cucumbers, sliced in to sticks, for stirring, of course
1 bag of ice

The key to sangria is to let it marinate. After mixing all of the above, keep it cool in the refrigerator for a while. And… serve!
