In short, that dream bar is Goldbar. Yes, the new nightspot from Cain’s owners opened over a month ago, but since Fashion Week’s over and the place is now fully functional, consider it primed for your pleasure.

Every inch of wall in the main room is shrouded with golden skulls, which glow ghoulishly under the curved, crystal chandelier-affixed gold ceiling. Door beads have been reinterpreted as hanging gold chains, ending just a millimeter above the reflective gold floor.

Emerald velvet banquettes provide prime seating to thoroughly admire Goldbar’s attention to detail - especially the eerie, gold themed 19th century style portraits and engraved gold cocktail tables that look like Cartier rings.

Here, the beautiful people swig $17 cocktails while grooving to the DJ’s danceable beats, but after two spicy Ginger Highballs (lime, ginger, soda, your choice of spirit), you’ll forget about prices. Italian snacks like Parmesan-sprinkled truffle fries and freshly filled mini cannolis deliciously absorb the potency of the mixologists’ masterly mixed drinks.

Goldbar opens daily from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. and you’ll want to be on the list.
