Bene.
It’s the Italian word for “wonderful”.
And it’s the best way to describe Centro Vinoteca, the brand new restaurant from Sasha Muniak (Gusto, Mangia) and Chef Anne Burrell (Felidia, Savoy).
It starts with good service and gorgeous interiors and quickly moves to the food and wine. Dinner (why yes, we have the menu) starts with piccolini (small shareable plates). Go for the Zucchini and Parmigiano Fritters, the White Bean Puree with Prosciutto, and the Mushrooms Stuffed with Pork and Pancetta.
After you’ve conquered the accessible, Italian wine list, with more than 200+ labels, advance to the main menu with antipasti. Indulge in Calamari “Noodles” with Fingerling Potatoes and Grilled Sea Scallops with Watermelon. Add some primi with the Farrotto with Lobster, Peas, Mint and Oregano and the Lamb Bolognese with Crispy Gnocchi and Fried Onions. Next, some secondi, signature dishes include Pancetta and Rosemary Crusted Baby Chicken and Seared Red Snapper with Cauliflower Ragu.
Finish with a decadent dessert: Lemon Curd Tart with Macerated Berries, Cherry and Brown Butter Crostata, Hazelnut Cake with Nutella Mousse, or the Chestnut Flour Crepes filled with mascarpone, pinenuts and raisins finished with Vin Santo caramel sauce.
And this masterpiece of dining is complete.
