Tap it at The Tap Room

The Inn LW12 Opens

When it comes to restaurants and nightlife, Jeffrey Jah (Lotus and Double Seven) is somewhat of a rock star.
And, like all artists who dream up hits, perfection takes time.
So, it’s fitting that his latest masterpiece, The Inn LW12, is finally open today in the Meatpacking District. Jah and partner Lyman Carter conceived the idea of a British-Canadian style gastropub more than three years ago. During that time, they tapped David Lopez (formerly of submercer and The Standard Hotel in L.A.) as General Manager, and Daniel Boulud as the culinary consultant to Executive Chef Andy Bennett (former sous-chef at Daniel).
The setting is handsome: exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and portraits galore offer the cheer of a British pub and the warmth of a Canadian inn. The food is equally charming - there’s Guinness braised steak, mashed parsnips, and maple-cranberry nougat.
Drinks have their own temple on the ground floor in “The Tap Room”. With seating for 32, and Canadian and European beers and wines available, casual dining is encouraged.
Best of all, the kitchen closes at 4 a.m.
Just late enough for a rock star.
