Clientele |
LacedClientele Monday, November 20, 2006 Once upon a time, sneakers were a simple necessity we needed solely for exercising and lazy weekend afternoons. Blame the sporty soles of the 70’s or the Hip Hop street fashions of the 80’s, but sneakers aren’t just made for the purpose of casual comfort anymore; they’re designed by a myriad of different companies to help you achieve a certain street-savvy look. Clientele specializes in these types of shoes, whose bright colors and sometimes wacky designs add flavor to the bare Nolita shop. White walls and blond wood shelves simply display limited edition Nikes and Vans that sneaker fanatics crave, while Hip-Hop buzzes in the background. You’ll find special issued Vans designed by Marc Jacobs, along with countless variations of bulky, supped-up Nikes with dizzying color combinations you’ll almost think you’re in the sequel to “Yellow Submarine.”
