The 2(x)ist Soy Lounge at Sak’s Fifth Avenue provides the ultimate presentation of the new line of crew neck tees, briefs, and a contouring comfort trunk, as the ne plus ultra men’s underwear line partnered with online luxury modern furniture company 2modern.com to create the “eco-luxe” space. Designers High Tower and Material Furniture provided the eco-friendly designs (available at 2modern.com’s showroom in NoHo), and even the underwear packaging is made from recycled cardboard.

All that aside, the soy products aren’t only groundbreaking in the fact that they’re made from a replenished element, they’re luxurious and good for you: They feel like cashmere, emanate a silky luster, breathe like cotton, and boast a sustaining power stronger than wool, silk, and cotton. Better yet, the soy exposes more oxygen to the skin but remains an active UV protector, absorbing 99.7% of sun rays into the fabric, not the skin.
